TAROT FOR TODAY – your daily message from the cards!
8 OF COINS:
Some of us know how little we know – few of us know how much we know. And then there are those who do not know that they know nothing…
We all have a different skill-set – different talents and interests.
We go through life picking up more skills along the way, but if we really want to get good at something, there’s only one thing for it: practise, practise, practise, repeat!
Even if you have a natural ability and affinity for a particular field, you have to hone your skills, study, learn, observe and practise.
There are some pitfalls to avoid on the way – 2 extremes being Impostor Syndrome (where you feel you can’t possibly be as good as you are and live in fear of being “found out”) and, on the opposite end of the scale, the Dunning-Kruger effect (where you falsely believe yourself to be better at what you do than everyone else).
Obviously, both are psychological conditions that seldom occur in their pure form – Most of us are somewere in the grey zone between these 2, but for all of us, what is important is honesty, self-evaluation, confidence and perseverance.
Know your own worth, but don’t over-sell yourself.
Be confident, but not arrogant.
And most importantly: rehearse, practise, repeat, redo, duplicate,…
